ISHL11 – the Key Aspects |
Survivorship and patient advocacy are key aspects of contemporary Hodgkin Lymphoma treatment and research. At ISHL11, workshops and scientific sessions as well as the meetings’ keynote lecture will address these topics.
The survivorship workshop will highlight the role of genetics in the development of different late effects including breast cancer and anthracycline-induced cardiac toxicity. In the scientific session addressing survivorship issues, data on the childbearing potential of individuals who underwent Hodgkin Lymphoma treatment and the employment situation of Hodgkin Lymphoma survivors will be presented.
In addition, the potential role of cognitive behavioral therapy as intervention in survivors with persistent fatigue will be discussed. Lastly, patient advocacy and patient involvement in research will be subject of the ISHL11 keynote lecture.
