Cologne, September 2018 |
Dear colleagues and friends,
The 11th International Symposium on Hodgkin Lymphoma, ISHL11, will take place in Cologne, Germany, between October 27 and 29, 2018. The comprehensive scientific program has just been completed!
| |
GHSG HD16 Study |
An important study to be shown for the 1st time will be the HD16 trial for early favorable HL. This study evaluated the role of PET-guided treatment in early favorable HL. Patients had a PET-scan after 2 cycles of ABVD; in the experimental arm, those achieving a complete metabolic remission were randomized between consolidation radiotherapy or no further treatment.
| |
Advanced Stages |
In the advanced-stage setting, PET-guided approaches also allow treatment reduction in patients achieving complete metabolic remission after 2 cycles of chemotherapy. A number of large randomized trials in advanced stage patients will be shown including the French AHL2011, ECHELON1 and the GHSG HD18 trial. In addition, results of the B-CAP intergroup study investigating brentuximab vedotin in combination with moderate chemotherapy in older HL patients will be presented.
| |
Immunotherapy |
The role of immunotherapy and new approaches for relapsed patients will also be addressed in several sessions. Both, data from pre-clinical studies and clinical trials using checkpoint inhibition in different clinical settings will be shown.
| |
We look very much forward to seeing you at ISHL11!
